COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course aims to improve students programming skills through application and extension of programming theory and problem solving skills within the business domain. The course will reinforce the Object-oriented programming concepts and constructs to analyze, design, and implement Windows-based business applications that fully utilize the Graphical User Interface tools and techniques. Develop a fully functioning enterprise information system that utilizes advanced programming techniques for interacting with the database. Though a variety of languages and tools exist today, the .NET environment and MySQL database server will be used in this period of study.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are to;
To equip learners with problem-solving and logic skills to solve business and education applications using sequence, repetition, and choice structures.
To provide students with the knowledge needed to plan graphical-user business applications using pseudo code, flowcharts, and/or IPO charts to produce user-friendly computer programs.
To introduce students to the understanding of OOP analysis, design issues and techniques in evaluate business applications both from the standpoint of the developer and the business user;
To introduce students to understanding the debugging techniques and program errors in business applications.

Instructions
Team up in groups of 10 (Ten) and do this assignment
The time allocated to this project is strictly two (2) Weeks
Create a project document baring your project title, group members and their particulars as the cover page.
Avoid duplication of other groups’ work. Once identified will lead to cancellation of both groups’ work involved in the act

In your groups, identify and brainstorm about a business challenge that can be addressed by developing/programming a business application. The business challenges could be related to how business processes are managed or anything else. Examples of businesses with challenges that you could choose from include; Banks, Supermarkets, Grocery Stores, Hospitals, Pharmacies, Clinics, Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés & Coffee Shops, Retail Stores, Clothing Boutiques, Electronics Shops, Bookstores, Salons & Barbershops, Auto Repair Shops, Car Dealerships, Taxi & Ride-Hiring Services, Travel Agencies, Real Estate Agencies, Gyms & Fitness Centers, Schools & Colleges, Libraries, Construction Companies, Event Planning Businesses, Warehouses & Logistics Companies, Bakery & Confectionery Shops, Butcher Shops, Pet Shops & Veterinary Clinics, Printing & Photocopy Businesses, Laundromats & Dry Cleaning Services, Furniture Stores, Transport management, Ministry/Government agencies, Human resource management, Accounting and Payroll management etc.

Instructions
- In your design teams, execute the following project implementation tasks
· The time allocated to this project is two (2 Weeks
· Create a folder and name it “ BAP Project” where you are going to save all your work
· After you are done, burn your work on a CD (Compact Disk)….please ensure a successful data burning process and hand in the CDs to the Lecturer by the deadline date
· Prepare for the presentation of your work that will be held after you have all handed in.
· Be as creative as possible as extra marks will be awarded to creative groups
Prepare a write-up in a table format detailing each member’s contibution on this project.
