This course introduces students
to major issues in international trade as well as the conceptual frameworks for
understanding these issues. It focuses on topics in international economics
such as theories of international trade, trade policy and its political
economy, exchange rate regimes, macroeconomic stabilisation policies in the
open-economy setting.It helps gain an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings
of international trade and some empirical evidence.
